Who we are

Fusion of Hearts CIC is a community-led organisation supporting families raising children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Our support is shaped by lived experience, culture, and compassion. We understand that families experience systems differently, and too often feel unheard, misunderstood, or left to cope alone. We exist to change that.

We work alongside families, offering practical guidance, advocacy, and emotional support, because no family should have to navigate the SEND journey on their own.

Our Story

Fusion of Hearts CIC was founded by parents with lived experience of the SEND system, parents who know what it feels like to fight for support, to be misunderstood, and to carry everything alone.

We created Fusion of Hearts because too many families told us the same thing: “I don’t know where to turn anymore.” Families were navigating education, health and social care systems without clear guidance, emotional support, or someone genuinely listening.

Fusion of Hearts exists to change that.

Our work is rooted in lived experience, cultural understanding, and the belief that families deserve support that is compassionate, accessible, and led by trust, not judgement. We meet families where they are, recognising that every journey is different and support should never feel like another battle.

Our Mission

To support SEND families through advocacy, wellbeing support, and community-led connection, ensuring families feel informed, empowered, and never alone.

What we do

We support parents and carers of children and young people with SEND (0–25) through:

  • Advice & Guidance

Practical support to help families understand systems such as education, SEND processes, and benefits, including help navigating forms, letters, and next steps.

  • Advocacy & Support

We support parents to feel confident advocating for their child, whether that’s preparing for meetings, understanding their rights, or knowing when and how to challenge decisions.

  • Emotional Wellbeing & Peer Support

Safe spaces where parents can talk, be heard, and connect with others who understand without pressure, judgement, or expectations.

  • Community & Events

Accessible workshops, coffee mornings, and community sessions that bring families together to share information, resources, and support.

Our support is flexible and responsive. Some families need advice, others need someone to walk alongside them, and many need both. We take things at a pace that feels right for each family.
