Who we are
Fusion of Hearts CIC is a community-led organisation providing culturally aware, lived-experience-led support for families navigating SEND. Founded by Makaya Chibuye, a parent with firsthand experience of raising a child with additional needs, and Eki Okundia, we bring together unique perspectives on care, empathy, and advocacy.
We exist to bridge the gap between culture, care, and community. Through advocacy, respite, mental health support, and practical guidance for parents and carers, we empower families to feel seen, heard, and supported. As a culturally aware, lived-experience-led extension of Enfield’s SEND and family hub services, our mission is to ensure no parent walks this journey alone.

Why Choose Us?
-
Lived Experience – We are parents and carers ourselves, so we understand the challenges first-hand.
-
Culturally Aware – We support families in a way that respects culture, faith, and identity.
-
Trusted Advocacy – We stand alongside families in meetings with schools, social care, and health services.
-
Holistic Support – From mental health to housing to SEND processes, we bridge the gaps.
-
Community-Led – Everything we do is shaped by the voices of the families we serve.
Our Mission
We are working to make Enfield a place where every family raising a child with SEND feels supported, included, and valued. Through culturally aware advocacy, emotional support, and practical guidance, we ensure no parent has to walk this journey alone.
Our Vision
To create a future where every family, no matter their culture or background, can access the right support for their child with SEND, without barriers, without stigma, and without feeling alone.
We believe that when families are truly seen, heard, and supported, children can thrive, and communities grow stronger together.
